Corte Calzaiuoli Elegant Suites - Florence

We had a boss time in Florence! The location was spot on, right in the heart of everything. The staff were dead sound, especially Regina, who had us sorted with brilliant restaurant recommendations. The only downside was the room got a bit stuffy without air con, but everything else was lush!

Beautifully designed accommodation, best staff, comfy location in the center of florence. Charming little and contemporary room with separate bathroom and central heating, a personal safe and a flat-screen TV. Location close enough to the river to where the more atmospheric, the Duomo and all attractions.

The breakfast was savoury and incredible with hot options and had something for everyone. Double room had upgrades, it was practical and silent.

There was view to be needed.

Our superior double room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The complimentary breakfast offered good Tuscan specialties, including mouthwatering ham that we couldn't get enough of. What impressed me was how the attentive staff went the extra mile. After I accidentally left my CPAP machine behind, they retrieved it and shipped it back to me in the USA.

The hotel was beautifully decorated, as expected. The breakfast was savoury and tasty with hot options, and the restaurant was great. The room was exceptionally clean and practical with a very comfortable bed, had a good night's sleep. The staff was incredibly welcoming, always there to help. The location was marvellous and fantastic, just 5 minutes walk from a spandrel segmental arch bridge. Furthermore, the area was good.

The bedroom design led to some impracticalities, like a bookcase taking up half the room and a bathroom layout that felt cumbersome-double doors that clashed might not have been necessary. Even with central air conditioning, it fell short of comfort since it wasn't operational until later in Spring. We had a view that was quite disappointing, looking at walls from a neighboring building instead of anything interesting, which seemed unfair for rooms of the same category. Cleanliness was a concern. Cleaning happened late in the day when we wanted to relax, and broken glass from an earlier guest was hastily addressed, raising safety worries.

The vegetarian dishes in nearby restaurants like I' Girone De' Ghiotti were amazing-think fresh produce and bold flavors! Plus, the breakfast was packed with options like cooked-to-order omelettes and fresh fruit, setting us up for a day of exploration. Regina, our host, were very good with reservations. Her warmth.

I had high hopes for my stay, but was disapointed. The glass in my room was smashed and barely cleaned. Then, the staff failed to book my restaurant reservation, leaving me waiting for 30 minutes! A room upgrade would have been a nice touch after all these inconveniences, but apparently, i don't rate that kind of service here.

The Beautiful Double Room I had was quite stylish, with elegant decor, made for an appealing atmosphere. The layout was manageable for my family, despite a bit of tightness with our luggage and baby cot.

The space feels cramped, especially with a baby cot and luggage, so consider opting for a bigger room if you're traveling with family. The location, while central, has limited access for cars was good. Be aware that the entrance is in a busy pedestrian area, which complicates getting a cab or arriving on wheels. It's about a 13-minute walk from the train station, which might be a hassle if you have bulky bags.

Consider exploring the charming urban garden nearby. It's a peaceful spot with excellent food and drinks, perfect for a mid-day break.

Our suite was beautifully large with a cool courtyard view. Loved how quiet and comfy it was, perfect retreat after exploring.

The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city, and so close to everything. Martina at check-in was so helpful. We were even able to check in early, a huge bonus.
